DUTIES:  Assists in the development and implementation of a coral nursery at Anuenue Fisheries Research Center (AFRC).  Conducts coral nursery and coral mitigation activities associated with the DAR/Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation (DOBOR) coral project, including coral husbandry, coral restoration,  and maintenance of coral and live rock cultures and colonies.  Maintains both indoor and outdoor coral and live rock specimens.  Assists DAR in the assessment of coral and algal impacts and coral reef monitoring activities relative to mitigation and restoration activities.  Assists DAR personnel associated with the coral reef mitigation and restoration (e.g. DAR biologists, AFRC staff, etc.).  Collects and compiles nursery data.  Maintains all lab facilities and equipment.
