The programme will be engaged in the Far North, Southwest, East and Centre Regions. Its prime concern is to implement the sectoral strategies and programmes of the partner ministries with a focus on professionalising the devolved government institutions and rationalising the necessary procedures for the sustainable management and economic use of forest resources. By developing the policy strategy and legal framework further and promoting participatory approaches and instruments, the programme aims to strengthen the operational effectiveness of the sector institutions.
