Context

Are you an enthusiastic graduate, with a passion for people, nature and the outdoors?

A Rocha UK has operated a support scheme for Christian land owners (hotels, retreat centres, outdoor education centres) since 2010.  The Partners in Action programme focuses on providing advice, event support, equipment and training for partners wishing to develop their conservation work in a faith context.  Currently we support 8 projects around the UK; from an outdoor centre in Oxford, to a conference centre in Devon and from a youth camp in Gower to an education centre in Dumfries and Galloway.    Each project is actively involved in working to increase the abundance of wildlife on their sites and engage more people in a passion for nature.

We need to expand our work to provide a truly national coverage and to do so we are recruiting a new manager to support our Conservation Director in overseeing the existing portfolio and develop new strategic partnerships.

Purpose

The National Partners in Action Manager will be responsible for managing/supporting existing relationships and helping to find and then develop, new partnerships for the organisation. In addition, the manager will be reporting back to A Rocha on new species that have been recorded, new events and activities that are planned and new churches and community groups that are keen to get involved.   Working closely with the Conservation Director, the role is a unique opportunity to help shape and expand A Rocha UK’s work at a time of significant growth.
