Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo (TLPZ) is currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals interested in learning about the Animal Care field.

The Africa department at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo consists of many African species including Elephants, White Rhinos, Giraffes, Okapi, Cheetah and much more! Interns will work closely with keeper staff to learn several aspects of animal care and management through course work and observation; including proper animal husbandry, diet/nutrition and operant conditioning techniques.

Interns in the TLPZ African Department are expected to participate in, and complete, assigned projects, training observations, readings, attend mandatory lectures, public encounters and other assignments as directed.
