Overview
GVI Karongwe is looking for an Assistant Base Manager with exceptional leadership/management skills. Core responsibilities include delivering environmental education to international volunteers and supporting the GVI Limpopo expedition Base Manager including the undertaking of all activities, health and safety, staff and volunteer management at the GVI Limpopo expedition.
Qualifications and skills required:
– A conservation or education related degree or qualification
– FGASA qualification and all relevant certification to legally operate as a field guide
– At least two years of experience in the field
– Driver’s license Code 08/EB (including an ability to tow a trailer)
– PDP
– Fluency in English
– 4×4 Driving experience
– First Aid certificate
– Criminal Background Check
Preference will be given to candidates with Trails Guide or those with experience in the student and sabbatical sectors.
