We are looking for someone with a passion for nature to join our reserve team for a fixed term 6 month contract. It would suit as a development role for assistant wardens wishing to experience livestock management, or as conservation experience for someone with a livestock/veterinary background. Oronsay is a tidal island of 570ha and is designated as an SSSI, SPA for chough, corncrake and grey seals and SAC for machair and dune grassland. The island is farmed by RSPB to deliver our conservation aims. You will work with the small team to deliver habitat management objectives, species monitoring, cattle and sheep husbandry, and occasional visitor involvement.
