Great Basin Bird Observatory is seeking 4 highly qualified avian field biologists to aid in avian use and mortality surveys at a solar facility in Tonopah, NV. Positions run from June 1st until either the end of August or November, with potential to stay on throughout the winter. Job responsibilities include daily point counts, carcass searches, waterbird surveys, and data entry/proofing. Some point count transects are in remote locations accessed by 4x4 roads. Applicants must have the ability to walk up to ten miles a day in sand in the summer heat. Couples with experience are encouraged to apply. Compensation is 2200/mo plus housing and per diem.
