Description The British Antarctic Survey (BAS), part of the Natural Environment Research Council, runs a world-class programme of scientific research and sustains, for the UK, an active and influential regional presence and a leadership role in Antarctic affairs. We are seeking an Earth System Modeller to lead and develop brand new areas of BAS research. The postholder will investigate the causes of the Last Interglacial Antarctic sea ice retreat which occurred 130 to 116 000 years ago, and in so doing deliver the key Earth System Modelling component of a new NERC project “Retreat of Southern Hemisphere Sea Ice, 130 000 to 116 000 years BP”.
