The British Trust for Ornithology is seeking applications from skilled spatial analysts, preferably with knowledge of bird migration, for a new Research Ecologist post. The post holder will work within the International Research Team to build on recent high-profile work using tracking data from Afro-Palaearctic migrants to understand the potential causes of population decline. The key project, initially at least, will look at movements within Africa and Europe to determine what factors limit spring migration phenology and whether constraints prevent earlier arrival to the breeding grounds in some species.
