The British Trust for Ornithology is seeking applications for a new Research Ecologist. The post will be in the Monitoring Research Team, undertaking a range of analytical work on long-term datasets such as Wetland Bird Survey and Breeding Bird Survey, the results of recent national surveys and other applied conservation projects as opportunities arise. This is a full-time post for two years in the first instance.  Candidates should have a PhD in ecology, or other related area, or equivalent experience.  They will have excellent computing skills, analytical skills and ecological knowledge.  Experience in field ecology, biodiversity monitoring, relevant data analysis (e.g. of long-term data sets) would be an advantage.
