The City Adviser to Los Angeles will provide technical assistance to review that the city’s climate action planning and commitments, including capacity, targets, actions, measurement, reporting and verification processes are in line with the level of the ambition of the Paris Agreement. The City Adviser will be based in the city’s sustainability office and will engage internal and external stakeholders, coordinate consultants, contribute to the development of 1.5˚C compliant climate action planning to update L.A.’s Sustainable City pLAn. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carbon accounting, climate action planning and stakeholder engagement.
