RESPONSIBILITIES The research associate in this position will function as GIS Specialist supporting the Department of Public Works – Environmental Division at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He or she will ensure that GIS data meets Army standards and requirements and serve as a resource to the CSU team and the Army on GIS-related topics. The GIS Specialist acts as a data expert and helps managers make decisions and identify data gaps or uncertainties in spatial data layers. The person typically also has expertise in some environmental field such a compliance, natural resources or cultural resources.
