Overview

In this new role, the Engagement Manager will lead a small team in the development and delivery of CAT’s site-based engagement work. The postholder will review, streamline and update CAT’s engagement tools and activities, creating a common set of themes and approaches for engaging site-based audiences with CAT’s core mission, and be responsible for taking this forward. The Engagement Manager will therefore play a central role in the development of CAT’s overall narrative. The role involves building a staffing model for the team and recruiting staff to carry out engagement work.

The Engagement Manager will co-ordinate the Engagement team and lead engagement with a range of site-based audiences, focusing on day visitors, families, schools and educational/youth groups. The Engagement Manager will have responsibility for ensuring the quality and effective operational management of school visits and visitor engagement activities. A key aim for the role is to drive the growth and popularity of school and day visitors.

Candidates should possess a teaching qualification and bring a track record of developing educational content to meet the curriculum. You will have the ability and imagination to develop educational content for diverse audiences and evident understanding of sustainability issues. Candidates should have a proven ability to manage and develop staff and budgets and be able to demonstrate delivery of high standards in relation to safeguarding.
