The Office of Sustainability and Environment (OSE) was established as an executive office in 2000 to develop and coordinate environmental policies and programs. With a staff of 20, OSE designs, coordinates, and pilots leading edge policies and programs to achieve Seattle's ambitious environmental goals. OSE's climate program leads the City's efforts to achieve carbon reduction goals. OSE has a renewed commitment to leading on connecting issues of race and social justice with issues of environment and public health.
