The intern shall work out of the BLM’s West Eugene Wetlands Partnership Office in Oregon and have access to a vehicle and field equipment. The project area is within grassland prairies in an urban setting. The work shall consist of several projects as described below-

1. Assist with quantitative monitoring of threatened, endangered, and special status plants/insect, as well as conducting qualitative methods of habitat conditions at the thirty high priority BLM sites. 

2. Compile data in various formats and software for updating annual reports. 

3. Assist with weed inventory with GPS units. 

4. Assist with seed collection and habitat treatments. 

5. May assist with other wildlife and education projects.
