The Great Barrier Island region contains a range of ecosystems and unique species; it is the primary breeding site for black petrels, home to a number of endemic reptiles including the chevron skink, and includes a number of offshore islands such as the Mokohinau group. As a Biodiversity Ranger you will be actively working in a variety of environments and across a range of different projects including: • Pest control • Threatened species (e.g. Pāteke) management • Weed management • Wetland maintenance • Island restor
