We are looking to make an appointment to the newly created position of Deputy Director-General, Biodiversity. In this senior leadership role, reporting directly to the Director-General you will lead the overall development of all systems work across New Zealand Biodiversity. The purpose of the role is to significantly improve DOC’s biodiversity systems to assign and measure impact of resources and investments to those areas that deliver maximum return both on and off public conservation land towards DOC’s 2025 Stretch Goals. Over 50% of DOC’s resources are focussed on reducing the loss of New Zealand’s native biodiversity.
