The Director of Forest Conservation will manage and assist in growing a portfolio of programs related to wildland forest conservation primarily in the U.S. Conservation program focus will include: 1) implementation of American Forests’ signature Global ReLeaf forest restoration program; 2) development and implementation of a new Critical Forest Ecosystems initiative; and 3) promoting forested watershed protection and management. The position will collaborate with other departments and external partners in the development of projects and develop synthetic information to communicate with target audiences. The Director may also assist with landscape scale projects in urbanizing area, particularly focused on the wildland-urban interface.
