An opportunity has arisen within Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council for an experienced, qualified Ecologist to provide a comprehensive and professional ecological advisory service, working with Planning and Green Spaces Services.

You will review planning applications, produce development briefs and supplementary planning guidance and help to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and policy for Planning. You will contribute to the drafting, examination, adoption and review of the Local Plan. You will also lead on biodiversity issues for the Council, including preparation of strategies and management plans, and delivery of an ecology consultancy service to internal and external clients.
