Forest Research's Technical Services Unit (TSU), part of the Centre for Research Services, provides a capacity to conduct field work throughout England, Scotland and Wales. It also provides local contact and liaison between Forest Research and networks of regional Forestry Commission and Natural Resources Wales staff, partner organisations and private woodland owners and managers. Through this network of field stations which work in close co-operation, the TSU establishes, maintains and assesses field experiments and undertakes surveys for the science centres within Forest Research and on behalf of other customers; Forestry Commission, Natural Resources Wales and other external clients.
