The GIS Intern position will be based in our Great Lakes/Atlantic Regional Office in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and requires GIS experience with ESRI products and a background in natural resources/wildlife/wetlands. DU has an immediate need for someone to work with a team of GIS professionals to update the National Wetlands Inventory within the Great Lakes.   The successful GIS Intern should have experience with GIS data development, photo interpretation and preferably some experience with wetland classification.  Other responsibilities may include:  assisting with a variety of GIS projects using datasets throughout the Great Lakes and Eastern Coastal region, assembling metadata; supporting project biologists with mapping needs; and setup and maintenance of GIS systems.
