Overview

We are currently looking to recruit a Graduate Ecological Consultant to join our multidisciplinary team and assist with the delivery of a range of environmental services. This will include providing support on a wide range of ecological surveys (including phase 1, bat, reptile and more), drafting reports and providing general in office support for a range of business aspects including Environmental Impact Assessment.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing ecology team throughout the summer of 2017.

Our consultants have experience working on a wide range of developments, providing baseline surveys to facilitate planning applications, and working with architects and landscape architects in the design and implementation process to create innovative solutions for applying sustainability in the built form.

About you:

The successful candidate needs to demonstrate that they are:

·         A graduate in a relevant scientific degree (ecology, biology, environmental science, geography or similar);

·         A highly organised and motivated individual;

·         Based in or around London and have access to a car with full driver’s licence;

·         Competent at report writing;

·         Enthusiastic about nature conservation;

·         Available to work flexible hours to support on ecology surveys;

·         Knowledgeable of UK wildlife legislation (desirable); and

·         Experienced in ecological surveying, particularly bat and reptiles (highly desirable).

The role will be available from March 2017 – October 2017, inclusive. Initially the role will be 2/3 days a week in our London office (near London Bridge) plus survey support outside of this time (mostly in London and the Home Counties). In office/survey time may increase throughout summer and the role may be extended dependent on work levels.

Salary:

All reasonable travel expenses will be covered plus a salary to be confirmed.
