The Hakai Institute and the Smithsonian Institution’s MarineGEO programmer seeking candidates for a postdoctoral fellow based at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. The position is part of an on-going research program studying the nearshore biodiversity of the Central Coast of British Columbia near our Calvert Island Field Station. The postdoctoral fellow will lead a detailed biological inventory of this region (‘BioBlitz’), and develop research to advance our comparative understanding of nearshore biodiversity, with particular focus on coastal benthic habitats.
