Description: I anticipate hiring 1-2 individuals to support research/outreach efforts investigating small owl community and population dynamics in different western US forest types. This study utilizes teams of citizen scientists to search for and monitor nests in cavities or nest boxes, map natural cavities and measure attributes, measure habitat, and survey for owl presence. Field crew will train, support, and work with citizen scientists; maintain field gear; and ensure data completeness and quality.
