SUMMARY – The International Wolf Center is seeking an energetic, outgoing individual to present “Wolves at Our Door” programs in schools, state parks, libraries and nature centers across the state of Minnesota.

Represent the International Wolf Center in the most positive manner with prospective, former and current members, donors, visitors, vendors, organizations and agencies, and the communities the organization serves.
Interact effectively with a diverse group of staff, board members, volunteers, interns, partner organizations, teachers and students.
Learn and use the operating practices of the International Wolf Center.
Uphold the organization’s mission.
Adhere to organizational standards of objectivity and scientific accuracy in all program activities.
Handle confidential information with tact and discretion.
OUTREACH EDUCATION

Present “Wolves at Our Door” programs in schools, nature centers, state parks and libraries throughout Minnesota.
Assist the outreach director with marketing WAOD programs to all eligible facilities. Also work with the outreach director on most efficient way to schedule programs statewide.
Assist the outreach director with continual improvement of the program based on most current information available as well as incorporating feedback from teachers.
Travel to schools, nature centers, libraries and state parks using personal vehicle.
Occasionally attend professional conferences as an exhibitor or attendee.
Collaborate with the outreach director on misc. tasks and documents such as teacher surveys, test score data, etc.
ABILITIES AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position will require an individual to deal with varied and unknown working conditions on a daily basis. Schools and other facilities vary in access, temperature, technology capabilities, etc. The employee will be required to travel throughout Minnesota, sometimes for several nights at a time. This position also requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and to haul equipment in and out of schools in varying weather conditions. Other days will be spent working in the Brooklyn Park office or remotely.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in biology, environmental education, education or related fields.
Experience working with wolves in a captive setting or in the field.
Requires a working automobile and valid MN drivers license.
