Invasive non-native species (INNS) are seen as a massive threat to our native wildlife and cost the country over £2bn each year. The Yorkshire Invasive Species Forum is a unique project, which aims to coordinate action on control and prevent the spread of invasive non native species throughout the region. A large part of our work is to map and monitor the spread of INNS, promote biosecurity best practice, and try to get issues surrounding these topics publicised within the communities we work with.  The project is about to go into its fourth year, after great success in previous years the project has even bigger ambitions to tackle a national problem at a regional level, and to lead the way for other regions...
