The British Antarctic Survey (BAS), part of the Natural Environment Research Council, aims to undertake a world-class programme of scientific research, and to sustain for the UK an active and influential regional presence and a leadership role in Antarctic affairs.  
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic GIS specialist with a background in geography, geo- or environmental sciences to work in the Mapping and Geographic Information Centre. You should have skills with ArcGIS (or similar GIS software) with a focus on cartographic applications, and experience of working with satellite imagery and aerial photography sources. An interest in developing web-GIS skills and experience with Python or Javascript would be an advantage.
