This project is looking for volunteers to help rehabilitate injured and orphaned Manatees and Monkeys. Caring for manatees includes preparing food, bottle feeding baby calves in the water, and taking juvenile manatees to the lagoon’s sea grass beds for exercise and stimulation. Volunteers also play an active role as surrogate mothers for young primates. Volunteers pay £370 for the first month and then £340 per month thereafter. All funds go towards supporting your input into the program – your accommodation, food, fuel and supplies for the activities you are participating in (e.g. boat fuel for post release tracking of manatees). You can view further information and apply through the Volunteer Latin America website. Volunteer Latin America Office 1728 PO Box 6945 Lo
