The National Park of American Samoa (NPSA) is currently seeking applicants to fill a temporary contract positions in its marine program.  This position will perform biological science tasks related to marine resources.

Duties

Duties will include poisoning of crown of thorn starfish (Alamea), tagging and tracking marine fish species, monitoring marine life and water quality, maintenance and repair of boats and equipment, data collection and entry into spreadsheets and databases, and other tasks as assigned by the Marine Ecologist.  SCUBA diving and boat driving are expected to be regular duties
but require passing the National Park Service Blue Card Certification and Department of Interior Motor Boat Operator Course, respectively.
