The main purpose of this post is to provide advice on renewable energy projects in order to help protect the UK’s internationally important bird populations. The post-holder may also contribute to work related to the oil and gas industry and/or marine spatial planning. Working closely with seabird specialists and offshore industry advisers within JNCC and the country conservation bodies, the post-holder will help resolve challenging marine management issues. The post-holder will be responsible for provision of scientific advice and updating guidance. He/she will liaise closely with experts from industry (and their consultants), academia and other relevant bodies.
