MRAG are currently recruiting fisheries observers for tuna transhipment programmes in the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. Observers will be deployed on board carrier vessels transhipping tuna and tuna-like products from longliners operating on the High Seas. Deployments run year-round and typically last for two to three months, dependent on vessel schedule. Prior to deployment, observers will attend a three-day training course from 19th to 21st April 2017. Deadline for applications is 9th April 2017 The transhipment observer programmes are run in accordance with the Indian Ocean Tuna Commission (IOTC) and International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT).
