We are looking for students and researchers interested in working with tropical birds in an Amazonian Campinarana environment (white-sand ecosystem) in Manaus/Brazil. The study area is located in the city’ countryside ~ 2 hours. This field trip will be carried out on October 2017. Field trip duration will be 11 days, from 17 October until 28 October. Activities: we will capture individuals with mist nets and perform focal searching for fruits. We are interested how deforestation is affecting birds community. Assistants must provide their own airfare to and from Manaus/Brazil and have life insurance (send voucher) and have to bring their own hammock (with mosquito net), flashlight, clothes, rain boots, hygiene products, etc. Applicants must be able to hike through rough off-trail
