In Cumbria we are reviewing all our delivery to align with C21, Natural England’s conservation strategy, and are reviewing how we handle day to day transactions for Higher Level Stewardship (HLS), Countryside Stewardship (CS) and Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) requested by agreement holders, land owners and partners. As part of this we are developing risk based approaches to consenting and delivering work on more straightforward agreements and sites, to facilitate our landscape scale projects. This role is key to that change, and will work with the protected sites senior adviser to develop and manage our approach and deliver the changes with the team.
