Overview

A 12 week Erasmus+ nature conservation traineeship in South West England, ideal for final year undergraduates, Masters students or recent graduates interested in a career in nature conservation.

The Ambios nature conservation traineeship provides the foundation skills required for a career in nature conservation along with a comprehensive insight into working in the conservation sector. Trainees are based at Lower Sharpham Farm in the picturesque Dart River Valley, Devon, where they will live and work with a team of fellow trainees as well as working with a range of conservation organizations from our extensive network.  The traineeship can count toward university credits for students and Erasmus+ funding is available.

2017 course dates:
2nd April – 23rd June (Apply by 5th March
2nd July – 23rd September (Apply by 21st May)
2nd October – 23rd December (Apply by 21st August)

The traineeship provides:

  • Applied English language training specific to the nature conservation sector
  • Applied scientific research into specific species such as the bumblebee
  • Useful network of employers in the sector (UK and international)
  • Unique experience of living on a working British organic farm
  • Variety of experiences e.g. field trips to local conservation sites, interaction with nature conservation professionals, student’s own research and conservation projects on the farm
