Northumberland County Council is looking to appoint two Ecologists with a good understanding of the planning system and ecological legislation. This is an exciting opportunity to protect and promote Northumberland’s outstanding natural environment. You will provide ecological advice to the Council’s Development Management Teams and others, to enable the conservation and enhancement of the natural environment and ensure that the Council meets its statutory obligations in this area. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary Conservation Team based in the Planning Department. All applicants should have a degree or equivalent qualification in Ecology or a related subject and Associate membership of CIEEM or above (or be eligible for this grade) and the ability to manage a varied workload
