Description Field technician needed to assist with banding and surveys on the lower Eastern Shore of Virginia August 21st – November 21st as part of a graduate study assessing the stopover ecology of migrant passerines in a globally important migratory region. The technician’s primary work will consist of extracting, banding, and bleeding fall migrant passerines and occasionally assisting with foraging bird surveys. Other responsibilities include some lab work (spinning blood, managing samples), data entry and management, fruit surveys, and forest composition surveys. Schedule is 6 days on, one off. Day off can vary due to weather and migrant activity, but will likely fall on a weekend. Pay will be approximately $950 per month. Housing in a private room at the Eastern Shore of Virgini
