The Great Basin Society is pleased to offer one or more paid summer undergraduate internships based at the Society’s Malheur Field Station in southeastern Oregon. Internships will run approximately June 15-August 15, 2015 depending on the intern’s schedule and the needs of the project. Internships include $1000 plus free housing at the Malheur Field Station. The number of internships is contingent on available funds. Interns are typically assigned to bird monitoring projects on the refuge, so familiarity with bird identification applicable to the Great Basin is a high priority. In addition, some familiarity with other aspects of biology, e.g. botany and fish biology, is helpful.
