Tussey Mountain Hawk Counter Located in Pennsylvania's ridge-and-valley province near State College, Tussey Mountain Hawkwatch is one of the premier Spring Golden Eagle migration sites in the eastern U.S.We are seeking a Hawk Counter that can provide accurate raptor identification and reporting, while providing informal interpretation to site visitors.While the position requires a great deal of independence, it will be supported by staff from Shaver's Creek Environmental Center.A two-day training will be provided prior to count to familiarize the counter with the history and population trends of the Hawk Watch, as well as interpretive training and an orientation to serving as an ambassador for Shaver's Creek and Penn State University.Early season weather is often harsh and very cold, wi
