Position Overview To accomplish this, the Ending Illegal Fishing Project (EIFP) will focus on securing the ratification and implementation of the UN Agreement on Port State Measures to Prevent Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated fishing, ensuring Flag State obligations are better adhered to and to properly track and identify vessels involved in fishing activities.  The EIFP will also focus on putting in place ways for countries and international and regional fisheries management organizations to share information, increase transparency and accountability and ensure flag States meet their obligations to ensure high levels of compliance with agreed fisheries conservation and management measures, all of which are prerequisites for an effective Global System of Enforcement.
