The PDRA will focus primarily on the development and analysis of agent-based simulation models and Bayesian hierarchical statistical models of poacher and patrol behaviour. The position is based at the University of Edinburgh and will contribute to the NERC-funded project “Learning from observational data to improve protected area management”, a three year, collaborative study also involving scientists from the University of Oxford and the University of York, and conservation practitioners from the Wildlife Conservation Society.
