POSITION SUMMARY

The Preserve Steward performs and participates in Adirondack Chapter stewardship operations including the maintenance and management of preserve programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Preserve Steward leads work teams to ensure objective of Conservation Strategic Plans, coordinates community support, and implements preserve management plans. S/he maintains preserve areas frequented by the visiting public, remove exotic species and/or monitors and researches species, maintains tools and equipment, operates heavy machinery, and opens and closes preserves to the visiting public.
