As one of six regions of the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service the Central Region spans from Gladstone to Townsville, extending west to the Northern Territory border and north to the Gulf of Carpentaria. Duties of the role To achieve the outcomes required by this role, you must be able to:
  1. Lead and coordinate regional staff in a multi-disciplinary team.
  2. Plan, deliver and report on annual work schedules and budgets for fire management, pest management, capital works, asset maintenance and visitor management programs.
  3. Ensure work programs support QPWS strategic outcomes and provide feedback and input into operational policies and procedures.
  4. Develop systems, procedures and standards to support delivery of protected area management activ
