As Regional Conservation Director, you contribute to the WWF mission in general and to the objectives of the WWF-DCP Strategic and Annual Plans by leading and supporting the development of a high-performing conservation programme for the WWF Danube-Carpathian Programme Office (DCPO) in Central and Southeastern Europe, including particularly Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Serbia, Ukraine and other areas of the Danube-Carpathian ecoregion. Given that responsibility for much project implementation lies at country level, you focus on the real added value of your regional position: you work closely with Country Managers to provide guidance, advice and practical support, while focusing on developing regional projects and programmes, partnerships and funding opportunities.
