DWT requires an enthusiastic, practical person with a background in managing land for nature conservation to work with our outstanding volunteers to manage 12 of the Trust’s reserves. Based in the eastern section of the Trust’s area, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing some of the most significant wildlife sites in the North East, including magnesian limestone grasslands, ravine woodlands and internationally designated coastline.

We require an individual with excellent wildlife knowledge, a degree or equivalent in an environmental/ecological discipline (or equivalent) and at least 2 years experience working in a similar role. Essential qualifications are certification in competency in use of chainsaws (CS30 & 31), pesticides (PA1 & PA6), 1st Aid
