Location: Lancashire We are looking for someone with a passion for wildlife and wetland conservation to join us as soon as possible, to help us manage our fantastic reserves on the UK's top estuary for birds. RSPB established a reserve at Marshside in 1994 and later purchased Hesketh Out Marsh which is one of the largest managed realignment projects in the UK. Marshside is the most extensive coastal grassland site on the Ribble Estuary and attracts up to 40,000 birds in winter and some of the highest densities of breeding waders in England. Our visitor facilities are modest, but Marshside already attracts 25,000 visitors and the Ribble Discovery Centre at Lytham a further 50,000 visitors every year.
