Extending to 13,700ha, Abernethy is one of the biggest and most spectacular nature reserves in Britain. It has the largest remnant of Caledonian Pinewood, vast tracts of moorland and mires and some of the highest mountains in the UK; it is home to 4,800 recorded species and some of Britain's rarest wildlife; we also face some fascinating conservation challenges.
