Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust is the leading local nature conservation charity. We seek to increase people’s involvement in their local environment and in turn create better conditions for wildlife on land and in the sea.

The Solent Recreation Mitigation project is a partnership of fifteen Solent Local authorities, the RSPB, the Chichester Harbour Conservancy, Natural England and the Wildlife Trust. The partnership seeks to minimise the disturbance caused by human activity on the overwintering wildfowl and wader populations on the Solent and Southampton Water Special protection Area.
