SANBI requires a highly motivated individual to conduct taxonomic research on the South African Flora in accordance with the Biosystematics Research Strategy. Requirements Appointment requires an MSc in an appropriate field of plant science. One year of experience in taxonomic research is required. First authorship of at least one peer-reviewed paper on plant taxonomy published in an internationally recognised journal is a requirement. Must be able to carry out independent research projects, publish results and have potential ability to generate research funding. Good spoken and written command of English is necessary.
