Do you want to spend your summer working on a beach?  We are looking for a highly motivated person to protect and monitor the New Zealand fairy tern that will be nesting at Mangawhai Wildlife Refuge this summer. The work will involve monitoring fairy tern breeding pairs, nest sites, and chicks, as well as compliance and predator control.  There will also be a focus on conservation advocacy.

The position will be based at Mangawhai and is for a 20 week fixed term, 40 hours a week.  The contract will start early October 2015 and run to approx mid Feb 2016. The position is primarily field based and will be required to work weekends, with two consecutive days off during the week.
