This 10-week program actively engages ten students in independent research in the areas of high latitude Ecology and Physiological Ecology. Southcentral Alaska offers exciting and truly unparalleled opportunities for students to participate in research in these fields and the Department of Biological Sciences is particularly strong in these areas. Students will have the opportunity to work on projects ranging from the molecular level to the ecosystem level, with undefined potential research questions addressing terrestrial, marine, and/or freshwater species and habitats. Many projects will include both laboratory and field components.
